Hello my friends, I’m back. I apologize for abandoning you for a whole week. An opportunity arose for me to take a break from digital energy and electronics in general, so I took it. It was a whole week away from cell phones, computers, laptops, anything electronic (actually anything electric period). It was extremely refreshing. Unfortunately I did not have a surplus of ready made entries to fill the gap, and for that I apologize. It shan’t happen again.
The reason that I felt such a break was necessary is that I have never truly felt that the electronic and digital energies, that we surround ourselves with, is not wholly conducive to a feeling of spiritual well being. In fact I find myself to be the opposite of inspired (or spiritually connected) sitting in front of a screen or talking on my cell. That is why all of my poems, as well as the new book I’m working on and my blog entries are all written with pen and paper then transferred to digital media. I speak only for myself of course, but I find that the energy emitted by the myriad electronic devices in my world, makes it harder to focus on the positive spiritual energy that I wish to maintain in my life. In other words it’s harder for me to find God.
Not that God isn’t on the internet (I’m sure he/she is everywhere in some form or other). It is my strong feeling that the natural wavelengths and energy patterns of the non electronic world are masked and hidden by our man made frequencies. Being away from anything electronic for this time has really left me feeling stronger and brighter spiritually as well as more inspired and connected to what is real.
So if you get the chance to get away from digital technology, if only for an hour, take it. Take a walk in a park, or a wood without your cell phone, or anything electronic for just an hour and feel the rhythms of the earth. Get in touch with the true nature of the world. Feel the true connectedness you have with God’s world. This digital megalopolis will still be here when you get back, trust me.
Peace and blessings
Brett
